This is my to go spot when I am in Puerto Vallarta hands down - yummy food w prices that you simple cannot beat. It is a vegetarian/ vegan all you can eat buffet - lunch which is I think 75 pesos and dinner is 90 pesos if I remember correctly. You have choice of about 4-5 dishes including rice, several salads and fresh fruit for brunch. There is also at two choices for juices which are never super sweet and w dinner you get a dessert as well. I really love this place, it is my first spot after I drop my bag off at my airbnb place.

Please note they are closed on Sundays.

This was our first meal in Mexico and just may be our last after breakfast tomorrow. Is it really that good or are there just not as many options in town? Perhaps a little bit of both?

The first night they had a few options on the hot bar that all looked good. However much of it was room temperature and nearly empty. The salad bar area was more loaded but the Vegan options aren't labeled on either side. With limited Spanish you can probably figure out what's Vegan with help from the friendly ladies that work here. If it looks like cheese, it is. I don't believe they do eggs here. The leche may be more difficult to pinpoint.

Everything I put on my plate was okay but the refried beans stole my heart and my belly. They were that good that I could simply eat those with a salad and some tortillas and be content. At $90 Pesos for the meal, the beans alone are worth it. Don't forget to pile on the fresh salsa not if you love the heat.

Oh and they will hand make fresh tortillas to order. We were confused at first upon seeing the tortilla press and the griddle. My wife almost began doing it herself before the lady came over to assist, possibly saving her from a few burns. Just ask and they will make them for you. Even if the only word you know is "tortilla".

If I were simply reviewing my first visit, this review may not have been so great. It was the breakfast buffet that elevated them to the next level. Happy Cow mentioned that they have Vegan pancakes as part of the buffet. Knowing that my babygirl loves "cake cakes" I had to bring her back to check it out. They did not disappoint. Those pancakes hit the spot with their fluffiness and cinnamon-y goodness.

The chilaquiles were a nice surprise to find on the breakfast buffet line, along with those delicious beans. The tofu scramble was well done and together, combined to make a delicious savory breakfast that can't be beat anywhere. Especially for the price of $70 Pesos! That's seriously like $3something USD in order for the opportunity to eat your weight in delicious Mexican comfort food. Outstanding value can be found here so please tip well. Five stars for the best breakfast in Vallarta!

The only reason I can't give five stars is their dinner hours and some of the food choices. You really don't know when they'll run out of food or turn the heaters off. We arrived one night around 6:30pm to empty trays even though they are allegedly open much later. No worries, we simply made our way over to Planeta Vegetariana instead.

Edit: Looks like they serve a taco y hamburguesa menu from 6pm-10pm. The tacos are around 15 Pesos each. Not bad but it depends on the toppings leftover on the salsa bar to make it complete.

**UPDATE** According to TripAdvisor evidently Mary moved to address 309 Honduras -- not 228 as listed on Yelp, Google, and elsewhere. I'm sad it wasn't updated before I tried to go. :( I'm sure it's really good.
    --------
This was a long walk from old town. When I arrived at 10am on a Thursday morning, there was no sign saying "Mary Vegetariano" -- only banners with "228" surrounding the entry to a very cramped space where locals were waiting along the wall for smoothies/juices to be blended. I asked if they served breakfast and they pointed at the blenders; I asked if they serve lunch, and they implied they would still be serving smoothies & juices and limited lunch items. No menus were present; the space did not look like the photos nor was the sign from the photos present. I'm not sure if Vegetariano Mary is still open?

Excellent vegetarian and vegan buffet. We had breakfast with vegan pancakes, fresh fruit, and tofu scramble. They were very kind and it was very clean. They open at 8 a for breakfast. Coffee was delicious too

What a find! We had the full vegetarian buffet for 70 pesos. It was excellent and so extensive. A must!
